A Single Rose
I see you there, holding
A single rose.
Disappointment rises
from some deep abyss.
Then a smile as big as
the crescent moon
shines on your face
accompanied by
a twinkle in
your eyes.
A single rose.
Unexpected. Unsettling.
The happiness that
radiates
from your face
defeats all disappointment.
You are all I want.
All I need is
a single rose.
