Amazing
Sometimes when you talk you sound crazy
As bubbles of words flow out of your mouth
And don’t even interrupt me
Scrunching those eyebrows
While I’m in the middle of my defense
Letting out your ill-tempered, unnecessary ink blasts
You’re telling me —with all of the knowledge held in that big brain of yours—
That you have no idea of what I’m talking about right now
With your confusing and twisted means
And your slimy, seaweed-tangled words
Your deep water such a mystery
With sudden moods that fluctuate
From high surf to low tide
With absolutely no tsunami warnings
Your storm of emotions turns to mere drizzles
And the real person that I know
Is soaked up and lost
And I just stare patiently in amazement
Watching your lips move
Because sometimes when you talk you sound crazy
