                        The City of Everything Tropical:
I hear that all you do is surf all day and I have seen men and women spend from sunup to
sundown on the beaches of the North Shore.
And I hear that you need to improve education: I have witnessed the ample days off and lack of
            teachers in your schools.
And I hear that you are littered with homeless and I have seen the homeless that line parks and
the markets with carts full of possessions.
To those who urge such fault about this city, I urge right back to them: Take me to a city with
more beautiful beaches and sunsets more thrilling and enchanting and wild.
Among the hustle and bustle of business and commerce, here is a rundown car willing to let
another one take a place in line.
Easygoing, Cruising, Patient, Going nowhere fast, Resting,
Through the honking and careless people racing by and almost daring and audacious to be sitting
down in the middle of a busy street, Patient like a cat who seems not to have responsibility and no
thought of moving, Cruising and patient like she is never late, Resting.
Resting amidst the busy downtown streets in a certain relaxing, primitive, calm way, happy to be
the Worldwide Tourist Destination, Paradise for the Nation, the Bridge between the
United States and Asia, the Hula Girl with the Grass Skirt, and Creator of Surf.
