When We Were Young

When we were young
We did not know of war and hate
We did not know of injustice and unfairness

We did not know that right was wrong
And wrong was right
We did not know that peace was impossible
And wars could be justified

We look at how far we’ve come
But really
How far have we come?

We just sit here
As the train waves goodbye
And chances reduce to a blur
We are the start of the end of the world.
