THE THIRD ANNUAL Taro Conference

Held on August 11, 2000 was a wonderful success.

The guest speakers (Dr. Harry Ako, Mary Brooks, Dr. Kimberly Clark, Dr. Jack Kloppenburg, Steven Kubota, Don Martin, Frankie Sekiya, Dr. Terry Shintani, Brian Tottori, and Dr. Eric Vom Dorp) covered many diverse, taro related topics.

This year, the Taro Conference extended through Saturday at the Pacific Islands Taro Festival in "The Magic of Dialogue". Many of the guest speakers (Harry Arakaki, Dave Bourgoin, Dr. Dick Bowen, Dr. Kimberly Clark, Dr. Linda Cox, Annette Kaoholauli'i, Dr. Paul Kenyon, Dr. Jack Kloppenburg, Hiromichi Nago, Damien Paul, Jeffrey Preble, Charlie Reppun, Haruso Joe Sawamoto, and Dr. Ingelia White) led and held dialogues at different locations during the Festival. The dialogues that took place in Hale Alaka'i Room 102 were filmed by 'olelo. Please check the schedule for viewing.
