2001 Pacific Islands Taro Festival

Arts & Crafts Vendor Agreement

  1. Application and donation must be received by the 2001 Pacific Islands Taro Festival Committee by Friday, August 3, 2001. Applications received after this date may be accepted on a space available basis and will be assessed a vendor fee of $75.

  2. Only handcrafted items and other items specifically approved by the 2001 Pacific Islands Taro Festival Committee may be sold. Arts and Crafts vendors are not authorized to sell commercially made items, food, or beverages unless specific exemption, in writing, has been obtained from the Committee.

  3. A donation of $50 for a 15' x 10' space is requested ($75 if application is completed after August 3, 2001). Please make your check payable to UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII.

  4. Spaces will be assigned by the Pacific Islands Taro Festival Committee.Space assignment will be based, in part, on the chronological receipt of completed application and any special requirements or requests.

  5. Vendors may erect a canopy or tent but it must stay within the designated space area. Vendors may apply for a larger space and additional fees will be assessed.

  6. Vendors must provide their own tables, chairs, signs and/or banners. Electrical outlets will not be provided.

  7. Vendors must assume full responsibility for arranging their own insurance covering injuries, theft and/or damage to their goods, equipment, and persons. Neither Windward Community College nor the 2001 Pacific Islands Taro Festival Committee will be held responsible for any injuries, damages, and/or thefts in and around the vendor's space or on the grounds of Windward Community College.

  8. Vendors must set up by 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2001. Vehicles will not be allowed in the Arts & Crafts area after 9:00 a.m. Vendors may set up after 3 p.m. on Friday, August 10, 2001, but neither the Committee nor the College will assume any responsibility for items left overnight.

  9. On Saturday, August 11, 2001, all vendors are asked to check in at the Information Booth. The booth will be staffed from 7:00 a.m.

  10. The 2001 Pacific Islands Taro Festival Committee reserves the right to reject any application and will remove any vendor for failure to comply with the above conditions on the day of the event.
